Porslinsfabriken i Lidköping
Lidköping, Sweden

HISTORY
Located in the heart of Rörstrand’s historic grounds, Porslinsfabriken i Lidköping carries forward Sweden’s porcelain legacy with skill, care, and quiet ambition. Founded in 2007, the factory was created to preserve and evolve the ceramic know-how rooted in this region for centuries. Today, it stands as one of Sweden’s few remaining porcelain producers – offering a rare combination of artisanal tradition and full-scale production capability under one roof.
PROCESs
The factory manages every step of the process in-house – from prototyping and mold-making to casting, glazing, and decorating. This hands-on approach allows for precision and consistency, while still honouring the irregularities that make handmade porcelain so alive. Every detail is carefully considered, and every piece is a result of both experience and experimentation – a dialogue between past methods and present ideas.

OUR JOURNEY
Subjective chose to work with Porslinsfabriken i Lidköping not only for their technical excellence, but for their deep respect for Swedish ceramic culture. The collaboration is grounded in a shared belief: that timeless design deserves time to be made. Together, we are keeping porcelain production alive in a country where it once thrived – and giving it new relevance through contemporary craftsmanship.
MADE, Together
For Subjective, the factory produces Tilde Ullberg’s espresso and coffee cups – a series that challenges conventional sorting norms and celebrates the beauty in variation. Made in small batches using stoneware, the cups reveal the raw tactility of the material on the outside, with a soft glaze on the inside. Each piece reflects the thoughtful process behind it: quiet, honest, and built to last.
